ResponderEliminarFrederick Ko’Vert 1901-1949 -
In the 1920’s he was a famous female impersonator in the USA and starred in several films.
In 1940 he opened a photo studio
and hired physique models. Ko’Vert would light and pose them, and he would hire other photographers to take their photos. Among those photographers was a young Bob Mizer, who was mentored by Ko’Vert. Ko’Vert soon ran afoul of the censors and postal inspectors, as images of men full nude were illegal in the USA at that time. Facing increased harassment from the censors and the police, Ko’Vert committed suicide.
